The Melting Pot of Days

While in quarantine, we often find ourselves asking, "What day is it?". With everyday seeming to be just like the last and likely just like the next few to come, it's hard to keep track. It's hard to keep up the motivation to do the normal things like cleaning (I MISS ARIN!), dishes, getting dressed before noon, because what will happen? All the hard work will just revert. The house will be dirty again. The dishes will still pile up and we'll eventually be back in pjs, so why change? ha! But, to maintain a sense of normalcy, we're doing our best to keep up our typical habits. (BUT I STILL MISS ARIN)

But, let's bring this up a little bit. Quarantine isn't SO bad! I'm loving that Stephen is home so much more. We're both loving the time we are able to spend with the boys. Actually see them. Relish in the little moments instead of wondering where time went. We're outside all.the.time which is so great! Trail hiking, bike riding, walks, fishing. It's so nice!

This is hilarious. One night, we went outside looking for Lucy. She was nowhere to be found. I checked to make sure the gates were locked, the side yard, behind the shed, IN the shed, nothing. I came back in asking for Stephen's help to look out and see this:

She's black and I couldn't see her curled up in the pot full of dirt. Why was she in there? I have no idea...

Nope... Just quarantine. But, thankfully, we've had some super pretty days. Perfect for awesome outside playtime.

I broke down and bought a sandbox. We've held off because of scorpions, but... quarantine. Enough said.
