Life as a Family of Four

It feels so good to be home. I'd say, overall, we are coping pretty well with our new little addition. Miles has been amazing, but after the week we've been home, we're noticing a little emotional fall out from him. The smallest things make him upset when typically he wouldn't think twice and he is wanting more attention than he would normally ask for. Things are different for him now and we were expecting some sort of reaction. The good thing is, while he's slightly emotionally unsteady, he's nothing but happy when it comes to Carson. He wants to be around him, look at him, comes running when he's crying and seems genuinely happy to see him in the mornings - "Dee dee!!! Dee dee!!" That right there makes my heart happy :)

Bath time with Dada

Whenever I'm feeding Carson, Miles like to sit right next to me and watch. He pats Carson's head and giggles

Blurry but oh so sweet. Look at that proud brother :)

Miles was excited to ride in the big boy car seat when Becky picked him up from school

First family walk with the double stroller! Carson seemed to enjoy himself

Some of my friends from high school were in town for a wedding and we were lucky enough to find a time to get together. Lindsey (middle) just had a baby (Jack) and I was so excited to meet him. He, unfortunately, was not as excited. haha!

Saying HI to Dada

The girls were PUMPED to meet Carson. They'd been waiting patiently and couldn't wait to see him.

Lia's reaction is so sweet - "ooohhhh myy gossshhhh"

I'm loving this one! Definitely a framer for Carson's room :)

Look at how much they've grown! Below is the same photo, but with Miles when he came home from the hospital. So sweet.

On Easter Sunday, the Gates were going out to the neighborhood egg hunt and were kind enough to take Miles along. I'm not able to bring Carson places quite yet since he's so little, but I knew Miles would enjoy the outing.

Becky said even with all of the activities going on, Miles was only interested in this golf cart. Ha!

Like mentioned above, we're trying to give Miles as much attention as possible. So one night, Stephen brought him out to the pond to go fishing. Carson didn't come at the best time in terms of work so Stephen's been out a lot on installs, which really sucks. But this night was a definite highlight for him. He had a blast with Miles in the canoe and caught 3 FISH! Usually a catch in this pond is rare, so 3 in one sitting is unheard of! I think the universe knew he needed a boost lol!
