Dos

Carson is 2 months old! Well....more like 2.5 now since I'm late in posting. Lets just be honest yall. With 2 kids under the age of 2, I won't be on time for any of these monthly posts. And if I am? Consider yourself lucky :P

To see all Carson & Beau's monthly photos, go HERE

We cannot believe how much has changed in the last month. Carson's personality is pouring out and we're finally starting to see HIM. Not just a little baby lump. It's so fun.

2 Month STATS:
Weight:  11 lbs 15 oz (34th percentile)  |  For comparison - Miles:  12lbs 1.5oz
Height:  23" (40th percentile)  |  Miles:  22"
His head is measuring in the 51st percentile

All about CARSON!
- He's smiling up a storm! BIG smiles, little smirks, tongue out, the works. He's also quick to smile for pretty much anyone at this point
- He's starting to coo and "talk". We're itching for that laugh which I feel is on the horizon
- We've hung new toys from his playground which he's just started to grab at
- His height is 1" taller than Miles and we can tell. His clothes are not quite long enough, but baggy
- Wearing 3 months at Carters, 0-3 Cat and Jack and size 1 diapers
- We've introduced the swing here and there and he's still not into it. The bassinet is still his favorite sleeping spot, but he's getting a little big for it. Transitioning to the crib might be in the future sooner than expected!
- Eating 5-6oz every 3-5 hours and SLEEPING THROUGH THE NIGHT. Yall... Miles didn't do this until 6 months so I'm ecstatic.
- He may not enjoy it, but he's a champ at tummy time. His endurance is still low and can only keep his head up for a couple minutes. But, as compared to Miles, he's leaps and bounds ahead
- Miles is still infatuated with baby Carson, but is starting to notice the attention Carson is getting. If you're holding Carson, Miles wants to sit in your lap. If you're feeding Carson, Miles wants to sit right up close next to you. But, he loves "dee dee" and gives sweet kisses and pats
- A schedule is emerging and we're rocking the eat, play, sleep routine. Carson usually has a morning feed, plays for a bit and then goes down for a short nap. From there, he wants to eat right at the 3 hours mark. After the 2nd morning feed, he usually takes a longer afternoon nap. If we're lucky, this coincides with Miles nap. Double nap!! A lot of the time, we have to wake him up at the 4.5 hour mark because we don't want to mess up his nighttime sleeping. He eats, plays and then sleeps for another small nap. The late afternoon/evenings are tough as he doesn't usually sleep long and most times ends up in the sling. After an evening feed (usually around 6-7pm), he plays for a little bit and then we get him ready for bed. The swinging/bouncing usually takes about 20 minutes before he's out for the night. He wakes up around 5-7am. WIN
- He loves ceiling fans, blinds and lights
- Bearing weight and holding his head up pretty steadily
- His eyes are blue. It's looking like we'll have another blonde hair, blue eyed little boy!
- He's a super chill, mostly happy baby who takes the brunt of a toddler like a champ.

"mmm...I will eat you, yes?"

Happy 2 months baby boy!

Just Keep Swimming...Just Keep Swimming!

Miles has started private swim lessons this year and we're so excited to watch him learn and grow. We've had 2 lessons so far and he's doing so well! Ms. Rebeccah (his teacher) is so patient and has set great goals for him this summer - to learn to kick on the kick board, hold his breath on command and maybe float on his back.

At his first lesson, he was a more timid of the water and a little nervous all together. It took the entire lesson for him to start feeling more comfortable. This was his first time to the big pool this season, so it was a bit daunting. Hind sight 20-20, but we probably should have taken him to the big pool BEFORE his first lesson to get him familiar. Oh well...

Luckily, at his second lesson, he jumped right in and was in great spirits!

Becky comes to help since Stephen is at work and I have Miles and Carson together. Miles was happy to hang with Aunt "Bechy" in the water while Rebeccah got set up

Throw Back Thursday

I was saving photos from the cloud into my folders and realized I missed posting quite a few goodies. Lets throw it back!

Shorty's Wraps sponsors an event called MJ&M ("Mack, Jack & McConaughey") each year which raises money to support the empowerment of kids. In trade for our sponsorship, we are able to attend a pretty prestigious golf tournament. Before the tourney starts, each group gets to meet Mack, Jack and Mathew and grab some pics. Pretty cool

If you haven't already noticed, Mike decided to wear all Alabama gear in TEXAS. Mathew had something to say about that...

He signed *hookem* above Mike's head lol!

Miles is playing nicely with Erin while Lia bogarts as many animals as possible leaving Halle with none. As you can see, Halle was NOT pleased.

I'm in love with this series of photos. haha!

Stephen's handywork

Charlie chatting with Carson trying to share the stuffed animal. So sweet

The guys have been doing a lot of work behind the house and it's looking so great! The kids have been having fun with it as well.
