We cannot believe how much has changed in the last month. Carson's personality is pouring out and we're finally starting to see HIM. Not just a little baby lump. It's so fun.
2 Month STATS:
Weight: 11 lbs 15 oz (34th percentile) | For comparison - Miles: 12lbs 1.5oz
Height: 23" (40th percentile) | Miles: 22"
His head is measuring in the 51st percentile
All about CARSON!
- He's smiling up a storm! BIG smiles, little smirks, tongue out, the works. He's also quick to smile for pretty much anyone at this point
- He's starting to coo and "talk". We're itching for that laugh which I feel is on the horizon
- We've hung new toys from his playground which he's just started to grab at
- His height is 1" taller than Miles and we can tell. His clothes are not quite long enough, but baggy
- Wearing 3 months at Carters, 0-3 Cat and Jack and size 1 diapers
- We've introduced the swing here and there and he's still not into it. The bassinet is still his favorite sleeping spot, but he's getting a little big for it. Transitioning to the crib might be in the future sooner than expected!
- Eating 5-6oz every 3-5 hours and SLEEPING THROUGH THE NIGHT. Yall... Miles didn't do this until 6 months so I'm ecstatic.
- He may not enjoy it, but he's a champ at tummy time. His endurance is still low and can only keep his head up for a couple minutes. But, as compared to Miles, he's leaps and bounds ahead
- Miles is still infatuated with baby Carson, but is starting to notice the attention Carson is getting. If you're holding Carson, Miles wants to sit in your lap. If you're feeding Carson, Miles wants to sit right up close next to you. But, he loves "dee dee" and gives sweet kisses and pats
- A schedule is emerging and we're rocking the eat, play, sleep routine. Carson usually has a morning feed, plays for a bit and then goes down for a short nap. From there, he wants to eat right at the 3 hours mark. After the 2nd morning feed, he usually takes a longer afternoon nap. If we're lucky, this coincides with Miles nap. Double nap!! A lot of the time, we have to wake him up at the 4.5 hour mark because we don't want to mess up his nighttime sleeping. He eats, plays and then sleeps for another small nap. The late afternoon/evenings are tough as he doesn't usually sleep long and most times ends up in the sling. After an evening feed (usually around 6-7pm), he plays for a little bit and then we get him ready for bed. The swinging/bouncing usually takes about 20 minutes before he's out for the night. He wakes up around 5-7am. WIN
- He loves ceiling fans, blinds and lights
- Bearing weight and holding his head up pretty steadily
- His eyes are blue. It's looking like we'll have another blonde hair, blue eyed little boy!
- He's a super chill, mostly happy baby who takes the brunt of a toddler like a champ.
"mmm...I will eat you, yes?" |
Happy 2 months baby boy!
