I was going through getting all my photos ready for a big post dump (you know - since my posts are always late these days) and I found these goodies that got lost. Enjoy some pre-thanksgiving randomness!
Dude - he looks 16 in the photo. Those little crossed feet!
Playing some sort of roll-y poll-y game lol
Yaya helping Miles with his BIG bike
Look at those eyes! :)
Miles signed the card. He has a little assistance but he did great!
After Christmas, we had planned to use this break before school started again to try out potty training with Carson. We tried once before 4 or so months prior, but he didn't seem ready. This time though... he did great!! He picked up on everything so quickly. Stephen and I were pumped. NO MORE DIAPERS!
Along with the big reveal of undies, we also had another surprise for Carson. He was getting too big for his crib, especially with new friends being added day by day. So we decided it was time for his big boy bed! I had been planning this slowly so we already had everything. We just needed to pull it together.
Yes. I should have put shorts on but hey. Like I said, we were midst potty training. His little tush though. So cute :)
And total fail. Of course he wanted to see his friends up there..... we got that resolved pretty quick (the shorts thing too lol)
ALL the friends and ALL the blankets. Nice and cozy.
Making sure all friends were correctly positioned before bed.
Christmas 2021 - it was a fun one! This year was Short Christmas so Stephen's family came in for the festivities. We actually started early and surprised Dom with an awesome gift - a custom wrapped vehicle compliments of Shorty's. Needless to say, he was pretty surprised!
Dom spent the week prior to Christmas at the shop helping with the wrap while Chris set up a remote office upstairs. Check out the finished product!
Denise and Ray got into town on the 23rd so we were all able to hang out before Chris and Dom had to head home. Unfortunately they had a scheduling conflict and couldn't stay. But! So glad we were able to hang out a bit beforehand.
Virtual reality gaming. It's pretty intense.
Christmas eve started all the fun festivities. Cookies, gingerbread houses, intermingled gifts here and there concluding with a glow stick movie party before the BIG day.
Alas. Santa has come and gone and it's here! Christmas morning has arrived!
Miles was so funny. All gifts were wrapped in Amazon boxes and when he opened each of them, he'd yell "Another BOX!".... like that was the gift. It took him awhile to realize he has to look inside the box to see the gift.
When I was growing up, my parents would always come up with creative ways to present/hide gifts. Whether that be a scavenger hunt or similar, it was always something I looked forward to. This has become a tradition Stephen and I have brought into our family.
This year, we decided on the famous Feekin family string box.
A big boy bike for Miles!
A spider swing for Carson!
This guy, so gross motor oriented since birth. No surprise it didn't take him long to figure things out.
Such a fun and successful day. The boys had a blast, loved all of their gifts and were SO happy. Cheers to all day PJ wearing, all day mimosas and an early bedtime. :)
