Three Months

Miles turned 3 months old yesterday! It's been a whirlwind learning about this little dude and watching him grow. Some days seem tougher than others, but it's settling down here at the Short household as Miles becomes a bit more predictable. Life with a baby can sometimes feel repetitive, but I've been focusing on enjoying the little things - the way he sighs before falling to sleep, how he holds my finger when he eats, his "chattiness" and that smile...oh goodness the smile. While I'm sad to see my tiny baby grow, I know this little booger has a huge personality just itching to come out!

Some fun facts about Miles at 3 Months:
- Super smiley! He's not shy at giving them away and seems to warm up to people quickly
- "Talks" all the time and likes to experiment with different sounds and pitches with his voice
- SO close to giggling (even though my dad claims to have already made him giggle once, I've not been able to re-create it - ha!)
- He's found his hands and constantly wants to suck on them. Drool. Everywhere.
- Likes to stick out his tongue
- Happily plays with toys but not yet holding them
- Got his first cold/stuffed nose. Getting through it like a trooper though!
- He's starting to get tears :(
- He thinks singing is pretty funny and likes to read books
- Eating 5-6 ounces every 3-4 hours fairly consistently
- His schedule is becoming more and more predictable which is so nice!
- Sleeping 6-8 hours at night, but this usually starts at about 8pm. But hey - we'll take what we can get!
- Struggling to transition from one sleep cycle to the next at nap time. If you catch him at JUST the right time, he sometimes falls back to sleep with a binky, some shushing or a sweet pat to the head (cue the binky run!)
- The Eat, Play Sleep routine has become more like Eat, Play, Sleep, Play, Eat because of his short naps
- Wearing 3 months Carters clothes (getting a bit small), 6 months Carters pjs and 3-6 months in all other brands
- Still loves to be swaddled and seems to need it at nighttime to calm his body down. Hopefully this won't come back and bite us in the butt when we "retire" the swaddle...
- Overall, he's a sweet, snuggly, laid-back and happy little baby!
