When Omi arrived, Miles was sleeping. Once awake, it took him just a second to remember who she was and all of a sudden, he lit up! So cute. We played a little, unpacked the car and decided to have happy hour over at the Gates. Omi has secured a special place in her heart for her "adopted" grand children (Lia, Erin and Halle) and tends to bring them a little somethin somethin. This time was no different. She bought each of them a super cute outfit consisting of a jean jacket (all the rage in Kindergarten apparently so A+ Omi!) and a patterned sun dress. Perfect for these dress loving girls. I didn't grab a photo because they were all over the place excited about their new ensemble. I think everyone can imagine, yea?
Not being left out, Miles also got his Omi snuggles, tickles and kisses!
While Omi was here, Stephen and I were able to grab some time at the shop getting organized and prepared for our upcoming jobs. Throughout the day, we were updated by cutie photos and videos of the happenings at the household.

Cruising in his new wheels! Thanks Omi! |
A visit is not complete without learning new things. Miles' new talents? SPLASHING
After Bath #1, Omi was soaked. For Bath #2, a towel shield was necessary |
And while no one will admit to this one, Miles' new love? Spitting and mouth raspberries. I have to say though, developmentally, this one was bound to come around. Omi and Gramma, I guess you both are off the hook.
We found out that a couple friends were in town from OKC who we hadn't seen in SO long. They'd never met Miles or seen our new house, so we invited them over for a big dinner. And what dinner is complete without Omi's famous salad? Delicious ..... even if we did have it for dessert. Oops!
Thanks Omi!! Lets plan another Miles+Omi date soon.
