This year for Miles' party we did a donut PJ party! When searching for ideas, a lot of the donut themes were super pink. So we incorporated Miles' love of trucks and turned all the wheels into donut wheels. So cute. We also served an array of donuts - sprinkle, glazed, powdered (snow tires), chocolate (spare tires) and more to pull the theme together. To top things off, we did custom clings out front. After all, what's a Short party without some vinyl? Check it out!
Watching Toy Story before the party to keep the kids from eating all the donuts
Along with the main decor, I also found little party donut characters that were made into donut puns. So funny. Perfect for this kiddo's party.
I am really happy with how everything came together. Now, let's party!
Bloody Mary and Mimosa bar a must for a morning party!
We all got donut themed t-shirts
Miles: "I got 99 Donuts cause my Mom ate one!"
Me: "I'm into Fitness. Fit-ness donut in my mouth"
Stephen: "Glazed and Confused"
Carson: A cute donut face onesie :)
Fruit loop necklace making, or just fruit loop eating?
Miles enjoyed the eating
Miles was not super interested in the fire on all of his donuts. After we lit the candles, he ran away haha!
But, we got him back in time to sing. The minute everyone belted out into song, cue his concerned face
"I'm almost 8 Mimi. I can hold him standing up, right?"
I also caught some fun moments during setup.
This is a swimming tube. We blew it up and Miles went crazy. He was bouncing on it, body slamming it, jumping in and out, in and out. Hilarious
Omi and O-Pop came to celebrate and O-pop was great at keeping Miles entertained while we got everything put together. Miles thought O-pop's drinking of his water was so funny
The party turned into a full day of fun with friends coming and going throughout the day. It was great to see everyone and Miles was on a high all day - probably from the sugar. But, I'll say it's because all the best people were there to celebrate with him. Thanks to all!!
Now... what's the theme going to be for Carson's 1st birthday.... time to start thinking :P
